Are you rich without knowing it?

“Everyday is a bank account, and time is our currency. No one is rich, no one is poor, we’ve got 24 hours each.” -Christopher Rice

I love this quote! I get quotes like this from a free app call “positive thinking.” Please check the app out if you love positive quotes or affirmations. The sends you motivational quotes throughout the day (or what you set it to). And, you can customize the messages it sends you, it’s fantastic!

This quote made me reflect not only the importance of time management, but how easy we take in other’s beliefs/facts as our own truth when they could have no merit. When we think rich, we only think of money. There’s more to that.

There’s two definitions of rich:

  1. having a great deal of money or assets; wealthy
  2. plentiful; abundant.

One is money and the other is abundance. That can be abundance with love as the currency, or the mere fact that we all share the same amount of time in a day. We all have the same amount of time to exploit the countless number of opportunities out there. Anyone can make a difference.

Now, the quality of the opportunities might be different depending on who you are, where you are from, your background; that is life. No matter how tragic you think you’re life is, someone else has it worst. Comparing ourselves to others gets us nowhere.

Examine your beliefs, or it’ll cost you.

Think about it, a lot of our pain comes from believing in what our parents and teachers taught us. Ask yourself, when was the last time you questioned why you believe something that hurts your self-esteem?

If you ever thought you were stupid, it’s not because you just randomly think I’m stupid. Someone told you, you are stupid. And, you believed them. Those individuals that question what they’re taught, become legendary. You can be legendary starting today. Redefine, what it means to beautiful, what it means to be success, what it means to be you, etc.

  • Jack MA was denied work at KFC, that didn’t stop him from becoming a billionaire.
  • Steve Jobs defied what others thought of computers, how music should be distributed/stored, and his ability to lead a company’s innovation.
  • There are countless examples of people redefining who they are. Refusing to accept the label others put on them. The best example is yourself. What have you done that defied what others believed?

Think about a time you defied someone’s belief about you. Big or small! Let that remind you, that beliefs are meant to be challenged. So think about it, are you rich without knowing it?
